As a preparation for the German-French "TOTEM Summer School Mobile Mixed Reality Game Jam Hackathon 2012", Telecom SudParis organized a mini-summer school with 4 students. The event started on the 2nd of July and lasted 2 weeks.

The purpose of this school was to familiarize the students with the MPEG technologies and augmented reality games. The participants attended an intensive course on the VRML and BIFS bases, followed by a detailed presentation of the web-based authoring tool for location-based games: TOTEM Designer.

Test of the ARQuiz with students from Telecom Paris, May 2012

On the 3^rd and 4^th of May we organized a session of user trials for the ARQuiz. The user panel was composed of 20 subjects, all of them students of Telecom SudParis that attended the 3D Graphics class. Half of the participants played on a regular smartphone (Samsung Galaxy II), while the others on the 3D LG Optimus phone. The purpose of the test was to evaluate the quality of the game experience.

The students played a version of the ARQuiz called Infographie3D Quiz that was meant to challenge the students about the knowledge acquired during the 3D graphics class. In order to succeed they had to answer the 5 questions that compose the Quiz.
